More Than Conquerors

The bible, our guide book, tells us that we are more than conquerors through Christ Jesus. We hear it. We read it. But, not all of us believe it. If we believe that we are more than conquerors, we understand that rainy days will come. When they arrive, we look at them in anticipation for the moment we see the rainbow. If we believe we are more than conquerors, we know that there may come a time when everyone and everything is against us. When this happens, we thank God for preparing us to stand in the midst of all that is going wrong. To the one who is more than a conqueror, an attack on the body is simply an opportunity to allow God to renew their mind. We are more than conquerors so why is it so hard for some of us to believe?

Those of us who find it hard to believe that we are more than conquerors are plagued by the fact that we don't believe God. He says that He is with us always, but we feel alone. He says that He is our strength, but we feel weak. He says that in Him we are made whole, but everything in us is broken. We believe that Jesus lived and died, but we don't believe that the redemption in His word applies to us.

Yet and still we are more than conquerors. Jesus conquered death, yet we allow ourselves to dwell in dead situations. Nevertheless, we are more than conquerors. The Lord has already won every fight that the enemy can think of. He has already defeated the one who wants to destroy us. So why are we still destroying ourselves? We are more than conquerors. The truth in that doesn't change with our unbelief. The power to move mountains remains even if you can't let go of a 6th grade beef. The issue is our perception. We have to change the way that we see. We are more than conquerors. Our power will be activated when we truly believe.
